I took this course because I was used to computer programming when I was in high school and I thought it would be a fun course. Today, we went over the syllabus and went through a lecture on the history of representing information.

I found out that we were going to be programming using "Dr Racket." I had programmed using Visual Basic and Java (and a little bit of Python,) but I was unfamiliar with this application. 

I was surprised at the fact that we were going to have a test the next week. I was pretty nervous since it would be my first quiz for university. I also found out that there were going to be 8 more quizzes and 2 term tests after next week's quiz. This will surely keep me on my toes on the subject.
